Caspar Eric has previously impressed his readers with his poetry collection Nike in which he reflects on his own physical disability. "Avatar" is the writer’s newest publication - a work centering around being alien to the world, mentally, socially and physically.
In “Avatar”, the poems are based on various young men who committed suicide and the words on the page are heavy of indignation and anger.
The title of the book, "Avatar", refers to the new life we create for ourselves on social media. Here we are not ourselves, but puppets ruled by capitalist interests.
